A solo concert of the young piano player from Bulgaria Vesselina Tchakarova in the frames of "Spring in Moscow" International Chamber Music Festival  will be held on 6 April at 18.30 in the Hall of "A. P. Bogolyubov" Library (Sushtevskaya St., d. 14)

CV of Vesselina Tchakarova - piano

Born in Sofia, Bulgaria, Vesselina Tchakarova started paying the piano when she was 7. Three years later she became a student of Prof. Milena Kurteva in the State Musical School.

When she was 12 she performed her first recital and only a year later she won the Third Prize at the International Musical Festival in Streza, Italy. In 1995 she was the absolute winner of the Competition organized by the Union of French Musicians in Paris, France.

Following these awards Vesselina performed concerts in Greece and Bulgaria.

In 1999 Vesselina continued her education in Guildhall London Musical College. She had her début concert at London stage in 2001 and as a result she was invited to attend the master classes of the prominent pianists Leslie Howard, Joan Havill and Paul Roberts.

A year later she was a soloist of a concert in Bresha, Italy, conducted by Giancarlo de Lorenzo with "Vox Aurae" Orchestra.

In 2006 Vesselina issued her first debut chamber album with "Gera New" leading musical company in Bulgaria. The album includes works by Bulgarian composers and with the participation of Yana Burova - violin.

In the course of two successive years Vesselina has been a guest performer at the opening of "Young Musical Talents" Festival in Sofia. Then she performed musical pieces by Mozart conducted by Konstantin Ilievski and works by Beethoven conducted by Ulrich Kern. These concerts have been broadcast live on Bulgarian National Television.

In 2007 Vesselina performed a charity concert in the prestige London Wigmore Hall together with Alexander Somov - violoncello. All revenues have been given to ARK - www.arkonline.org which is supporting the Charity homes for orphans in the region of the town of Stara Zagora, Bulgaria.

In 2010 Vesselina had her debut performance of Rahmaninov at London St. John Smith Square - Concert No 2 for piano and orchestra, conducted by Jean-Lous Gosselini. The next concert will include works by Brams - Concert No 2 for piano and orchestra.

Currently Vesselina is living in London where she is a regular performer of both solo concerts and concerts of chamber music. She is also a teacher at St. Paul Cathedral and is the Director of "Music All" Private Musical School at the French College in London.
