December 9 (Wednesday), at 16.00, in the Marble Hall of the Library for Foreign Literature, with the support of the Bulgarian Cultural Institute will be open the exhibition "Together", which will show the works of caricaturists from the city of Plovdiv - the cultural capital of Europe in 2019.

The exposition will be one of the phases of the First Moscow Festival of ironic graphics and cartoons, organized by the Guild of cartoonists Mediasoyuz Russia. From November to January at the best venues of Moscow: the Central House of Journalists, the House of Cinema, the Museum of the Silver Age, in the Gallery "LitKabinet" and others, will be hosted exhibitions of famous Russian caricaturists.

Artists from Bulgaria - Irien Trendafilov, Nezhna Filipova and Tsocho Peev will be the special guests of the Festival. Their participation they have dedicated to their native town of Plovdiv, which this summer became the winner of the prestigious contest of the EU and received the right to be the "European Capital of Culture in 2019".

Why was chosen Plovdiv? This ancient city is a crossroads where meets the culture of various peoples who lived here for centuries in peace and harmony; it is a bridge between East and West, where has survived the incredible ancient city, the ancient theater, the Roman stadium, where Orthodox churches stay side by side with mosques.

Plovdiv's caricaturists have a particular view of the world, the ability to subtly through detail to convey irony, to express their attitude towards the events. The subjects of their works vary from domestic problems to politics, but it remains relevant, no matter how much time has passed since the creation of the caricature.

The exhibition in the Marble Hall will be open until January 16, 2016
